Only 2 years into her music career, flame-haired vasuki red has already created a vivid buzz amongst the Irish music scene, and has landed her first Electric Picnic slot this year.

DJing became a career path by complete accident. Whilst she did play around with decks as a teenager, the passion was reactivated upon being given the opportunity to mess around on decks at a beach after party. Eleven hours of dancing and impressive transitions later, and suddenly vasuki red had taken on a new perspective of what she wanted her music career to be.

Regardless of the male dominated field, vasuki red is passionate to inspire and encourage more FLINTA DJs and artists to the scene. She believes that DJing is not only "choosing songs", but it's about curating and creating moments for people to come together and show love and community among the dance floor.

She started making music at 18, exploring all genres and sounds. Every set she takes on a new challenge and blends all types of genres to create one united sound. She is known for mixing Breaks, Electro, Drum & Bass, Garage and Bass heavy sounds among her sets.

She has performed both nationally and internationally, recently marking her London debut as her momentum continues to build. Recent appearances include Culture Night at the Róisín Dubh, Going Coastal, TABU Queer Club, and a high-energy set at The Pawnshop with foxgluv to start the year with a bang.

The future is looking bright and exciting for vasuki red, with some major announcements on the horizon. From new projects to unexpected collaborations, she’s gearing up to take things to the next level so keep your eyes and ears open, because things have just began for vasuki red.
